This example, which we produced for Leggett & Platt Automotive, shows that film is not just about real images: a trailer for the automotive supplier's portfolio, which we designed as a mix of 3D animation based on CAD data, real image snippets and typo animation. This trailer was created entirely in-house at MILANOFILM. Our more than twenty years of experience with 3D animation software, expertise in the handling of a wide variety of CAD data formats and our cinematic understanding for camera work, lighting and effects, both in animation and in real film, make this possible.
Especially with B2B customers from technology sectors, we use a mix of 3D-generated images and real filmed sequences. The 3D animation allows a look under the hood, at products that are hidden but do the essential work. This approach also works with products that do not yet exist in real life, but are the heart of a visionary technical concept. The real image part ensures emotion and credibility.
